It doesn't take an "expert" to suspect hearing loss from headphones and car speakers. Heck, my Schnauzer could figure that out. Here's how it went when I was a kid:
Dad: Turn down the music.
Me: What?
Dad: Turn it down right now
Me: What?
Dad: TURN DOWN THAT CRAP OR YOU"LL GO DEAF!
Me: What?
